Our managed services for servers are designed for a variety of networks and environments. We have solutions engineered to work with existing IT staff, or leverage the experience and infrastructure of BizCompass to be your IT staff.

Perhaps you have managed services at this time on your server computers. This is a program where monitoring is performed on your machines and any issues are reported and addressed as needed. If you have these services, let us ask you a few questions:

  • Do you pay extra if there is a problem at night or during a holiday?
  • Do they cover all the applications on your server?
  • How much time does it take to get a response from someone when making a support request under your current program? More than 30 minutes? More than an hour? More than a day?

On our BizIntegration Level of managed services, there are no additional charges for nights, weekends, or holidays. Plus, if you have an application which we are not familiar with, we'll work with your existing vendor to ensure we have adequate support channels to support that application for you and your staff. Just because we don't know everything, it doesn't mean your level of service has to suffer. Finally, our systems ensure you get a response to your request within 30 minutes or less.

Our managed services for servers come in two levels of support; Maintenance and Integration. The details of each plan are outlined below.

BizMaintenance for Servers

24x7x365 monitoring of critical components for Windows servers

Critical services, applications, and events are monitored and reported as frequently as every minute. When an alert is detected it is rated by criticality and effect on end-users, before being forwarded to the client’s on-site personnel. Most alerts include a known resolution plan which can then be followed by on-site support personnel.

 
Scheduled installation of tested, white-listed security patches

Security patches are tested in a lab environment for two weeks after the release date to ensure compatibility with client systems. In addition to the installation of these critical security patches, online resources are checked for discovered incompatibilities before patches are deployed and installed in the third and fourth week after their release.

 
Comprehensive asset tracking

Each protected asset is tracked for software and hardware changes (change management logging), as well as continuous system resource utilization.  Information such as BIOS version, service tag, memory type, and installed hardware make system accountability easy to manage.

 
Automated resolution of critical operating system events

Critical operating-system events triggered under our monitoring program are resolved at no additional charge.  Any items which are addressed but not covered under this program are discounted over 20% from our advertised rates.

 
Monitoring of SNMP-enabled devices

SNMP-enabled devices such as battery backup systems, printers, and network hardware can be monitored for a variety of factors with alerting configured back to our support professionals.

 
Anti-virus software monitoring and detection

Protected servers are checked every four hours for installed anti-virus software which is currently up-to-date and properly licensed. All protected assets (PCs and servers) include a Vipre Enterprise anti-virus software license for as long as the asset is under a preventative services plan.

24x7x365 Monitoring and Resolution

All server events are monitored 24 hours a day (holidays included) with resolution performed during business hours, or after-hours.  At this level there are no time-limits on how much support is provided.   In the event of an after-hours issue which is considered critical and cannot be resolved remotely, a call will be made to the primary point of contact.

Under the BizIntegration Level, all applications under a current maintenance agreement are covered for support during business-hours.  When required, updates and security patches are installed during non-business hours.  There are no additional charges for these services.
