Our Disaster Recovery Solutions all work from a standpoint of giving you the most cost-effective protection available.  Our solutions range from off-site backup to complete server backup every 15 minutes, to off-site facilities for your staff to use in an emergency. 

Off-Site Data Backups

Using a secure encryption method, clients can satisfy regulatory and risk management requirements at the same time with off-site backups.  Backups can be scheduled for a variety of run times, types of backups (SQL, Exchange, data), and with a variety of retention periods.

BDR and ARCA (Advanced Recovery and Continuity Appliance)

Clients with greater disaster-recovery needs can utilize the BDR and ARCA solutions to protect critical servers.  Our BDR makes backups of protected assets at regular intervals (every 15 minutes) and copies these backups as a virtual machine instance.  In the case of a downed server, the BDR server can launch a virtual instance of the affected machine within minutes, rolling-back to the last backup made.  Best of all, users do not know they are on a restored virtual machine and backups continue on the appliance.  Our BDR server comes in a variety of levels with options for on-site image storage, or off-site backups to a secure, redundant (East and West Coast) data centers.  BDR servers can also be used in conjunction with the ARCA appliance to copy multiple BizVault servers to one central controller in the clients’ secured location, or our own secure data center.

If you have heard about “being in the cloud” and wondered what it is, this is it.  As opposed to purchasing licenses, a data center rack, hardware, and connectivity, clients can utilize our hosted SmartStyle service to allow us to host a virtual server instance for you.  Connectivity can be established in a variety of ways, based on client requirements.

BizShelter (Alternate business facilities)

For clients who cannot afford to have employees unable to work in the event of a disaster, we offer BizShelter.  This alternative business facility in Westbrook, Maine allows clients to utilize our high-speed Internet, voice services, and office space in the event of a catastrophic facility loss at their own client site.  Pricing can include the facility use in time of need, or can include the facility in addition to a provided PC and printer for each user.  In the event of an emergency, you may be unable to fulfill commitments to your customers, suppliers, banks, and business partners – as a result your company’s reputation could suffer.  A business continuity plan, which includes a secondary office space, can help alleviate stress and increase customer and employee confidence.
