SpamTitan

BizCompass offers email spam filtering using a SpamTitan solution in our co-managed datacenter.  Client MX records are adjusted to have all mail come through our SpamTitan device before being delivered to the client mail server. In addition to the filtering, the firewall of the mail server is configured to only allow incoming SMTP connections from our SpamTitan device, reducing the chance of a spammer bypassing the filtering service.

Service Overview

Clients have the option of hosting their Exchange environment in our secure, redundant datacenter.  This allows users to connect via Outlook Web Access, or Outlook and mobile users can add connectivity for supported smartphone devices.  Additional email domains are no additional charge and users can be configured for more than one email address.

Solution Overview

Clients who do not require all the features of a full Microsoft Exchange environment can still have a feature-rich hosted email solution.  In addition to standard email, clients who choose our hosted email solution also get calendars, tasks, contact lists, and public folders.  For an additional fee, PDA and Smartphone integration is available.

Hosted email combines the usability of Outlook with the stability and flexibility of a Linux server. Not only Outlook is supported natively, but users can use also the web 2.0 Outlook "Look & Feel" web access, all ActiveSync compatible mobile devices and Blackberry via the Blackberry Enterprise Server. The main BizMail features are displayed below:

 
Email

Not only can you access your private email, but BizMail also allows you to share your mailbox with colleagues via an advanced permissions system.  Group mailboxes and Public Folders can be used for all incoming information, support or sales emails and with the server-side rules wizard you can organize your email automatically.

 
Calendar

Share calendars, plan meetings with your colleagues with Free/Busy information, send meeting requests or book resources, either via the Outlook client or the BizMail web access you can use any of these features. With the CalDAV gateway you can even synchronize your calendar with other clients.

 
Contacts

All internal BizMail users and groups are available in a Global Address Book. Of course you can manage personal contacts and distribution lists, but also centrally maintained contact folders are available.

 
Tasks

You can keep personal task lists or share them with colleagues to work much more effectively.
